A storm is rumbling behind the greens of spring and the cherry blossoms floating down in the increasing wind have an almost fairytale quality about them. This is a picture of the juxtaposition I see often around me these days, splendor and storms. The light, cast by the blue-black clouds, cause an even more beautiful color to be seen on the garden’s Tulips and Forget-Me-Nots. On this day after Easter, I think of the hope of spring and the storm of the reality of the Cross, side by side, ultimately the Guarantee of Eternal Hope. While I don’t always understand the pairing, I am learning to look for and to embrace The Way of the Cross.
